The internet

I think the internet is turning into a vindictive platform. Sure, I appreciate the trolling and laughs people contributed from time to time. I love scrolling through all the witty comments that someone else was capable of. But freedom of speech on the internet has turned into a somewhat huge and uncontrollable problem for many. How can people be so vindictive and spread so much hate for something they know nothing about? If you're not involved directly, then shut your trap. Stop pretending to be an almighty keyboard warrior. You have a right to express your views? Then delete off that string of colourful expletives and self-righteous pomposity attitude from your sentences.

I was just reading this article on Prince Charles and his views on the Middle East: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/prince-charles-says-fears-christians-middle-east-000239569.html
And then I read the comments like I always do.
All of them generating hate for the monarchy.
This is not to say I find nothing wrong with the system in UK, I maintain a neutral stance to that (after all it is their country and they can do whatever they want for goodness sake even if it's useless and only for promoting its long legacy and country's "primacy" blah blah blah - if you know what I'm getting at).
I believe that these people should have better things to do rather than expressing their hates online and getting caught up with all the other haters as well.

As Taylor Swift goes: "And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate~"

Sure Singaporeans love to complain a lot. A LOT. But while I was reading the comments about the digital-turned-legal war between SMRT Ltd (Feedback) and Xia Xue, it has all turned into a childish battle for the "throne" or rather, who wins at the end of the day. And turning many other people into haters. Both parties are at fault, and neither of them are willing to admit their own faults. But what I believe as the bottom line: If all of you don't give them all these attention (that's all they want, really), all of that won't happen and people won't get into online fights either.

Grow up kids. And get a life. Outside this virtual world. (These people need to learn how to live in peace in reality.)
